Virtual Server (Dedicated) Gen2: how to manage your cloud solution

by Community Manager ‎21-12-2017 03:14 PM - edited ‎21-12-2017 03:26 PM

The Virtual Server (Dedicated) Gen2 service allows you to manage your own virtual server environment. You also get secure access to our online management console.

View and manage your cloud solution

Create, remove, configure virtual servers and monitor usage using vCenter.

The Cloud Services management console gives you control of your compute resources (blades and storage) and network configuration. You can also adjust resources to suit your business needs and request extra compute, network and security services via the management console.

Visibility and control

You’ll have full visibility of the number of CPU, RAM and storage associated with your blade servers, through the Cloud Services management console.

Add to your cloud solution

Add blade servers to your cloud solution at any time.

There's a number of add-on resources that can be requested through the management console, including:

  • Storage
  • Public IP addresses (single and dedicated subnets)
  • Firewalls
  • Load balancers
  • Telstra Next IP® network connection / Cloud Gateway
  • IPsec VPN
  • SSL VPN
  • SMTP mail relay
  • Static routes
  • Layer 2 networks
  • Affinity and anti-affinity rules

Import your data to the cloud

Our data import service can be used to transfer large amounts of data onto your virtual servers.

Request the data import service through the management console, and we'll send you a secure storage device. Load data from your current network to the device and send it back to us.

We'll scan and connect your device to the cloud. You can then quickly and easily upload the data yourself.

Our data import service is only available to customers based in Australia
