Liberate gives you the best features of a desk phone on your mobile, for an office-like experience on the go. It integrates our mobile network with our unified communications network service to deliver UC features and voice to the mobile phone. Since call integration happens in the network, there’s an effortless handover between mobile and landline calls.

Liberate Unified (TIPT and SIP Connect)

Liberate Unified connects a mobile service to your existing Telstra landline service: Telstra IP Telephony (TIPT) or SIP Connect.

To take advantage of Liberate Unified (TIPT), you must have:

  • A Telstra mobile service; and
  • An existing TIPT service with Standard or Executive pack.

To take advantage of Liberate Unified (SIP Connect), you must have:

  • A Telstra mobile service; and
  • An existing SIP Connect Business Line or Business Trunk pack with SIP Complete calling plan

Download for free from the Apple or Google store here: https://liberate.telstra.com/LibApp

It is designed for mobile phones only, not softphones or tablets. Compatible with iOS and Android devices only.

By default when first activating Liberate Unified (TIPT), users will receive incoming calls on the mobile device and the desk phone/softphone regardless of which number is dialed, i.e. fixed or mobile number (all calls).

By default when first activating Liberate Unified (SIP Connect), users will receive incoming calls on the mobile device and the desk phone when the work number is dialed from an external caller.

For all variations of Liberate, users will continue to present the mobile number when calling from the mobile, until this is adjusted in the Liberate companion app.

Administrators will also have FAQs through the Liberate self-service portal.
