Filters allows you to create a set of criteria to drill down to specific information in your reports.

Filters allow you to find specific information in your reports and graphs. (e.g., calls to clients, after hours calls, calls made by cost centre offices, specific service types, calls over a certain value or duration). Multiple lines of filter criteria are joined with the logical operators And or Or. Filters defined in Set up can be selected from the Filter drop-down list on report pages.

 

1. Select Setup tab.

2. Under Tools section, select Filters.

3. Select Add Filter.

4. Select filter report type to create.

6. Enter an appropriate name in the Name text box.

7. Select the criteria to filter by from the Criteria drop down menu.

 

The criteria column will contain a list of fields that are included in reports.

8. Select the comparison operator (e.g., contains, is equal to, starts with) from the drop down menu.

9. Enter a value (e.g., Tiffany Lambert) in the Comparison Value text field.

10. If additional fields are required, select And or Or from the beginning of each new line of filter criteria and repeat Steps 7, 8, and 9.

 

Note: By selecting ‘And’, the data must match both criteria.

         By selecting ‘Or’, the data must match only one of the criteria.

11. Select whether you wish to share this filter with other users.

13.  Report will be displayed with updated filter configurations.

Note: Once Filters are saved, they are available for use on all matching report types, every time you useT Analyst .

 

13. Navigate to your report.  In this scenario, we will go to the detail reports section via Reports tab.

14. Select the report name.  In this scenario, we are viewing a call & usage itemisation report

15. Select filter from drop down menu.

16. Report will now display information based on filter criteria.  In this scenario, we used the criteria "Service Description 1" to search for user name of mobile.

17. To remove filter, select drop down menu and change selection to "None".

18.  All available records will be displayed based on bill data selection.

Editing a filter

Filters can be edited directly from a report or via the tools section of the set up tab.

 

1.  From the home page, access the reports tab.

2.  Select the report you wish to run.

3.  Select filter to edit from drop down menu.

4.  Report will be displayed with current filter configurations.

6.  Current configurations will be displayed.  (In this scenario, we want to update the Comparison Value field to search for the date 22/11/2016.

7.  Update relevant information.

Deleting a filter

Filters can only be deleted from the tools section of the set up tab.

 

1.  Go to Setup tab and select filters from tools section.

2.  Select filter to be deleted.

3.  Select Remove Filter.

4.  Select Ok to confirm deletion.

 5.  Filter will no longer appear in list.  It will also no longer be available in the drop down menu when trying to select from a report.

 

 

Setting filters as a default in a report

You can assign filters to a default report so that it will be applied each time the report is generated.

 

1. Go to Reports tab and select Summary or Detail reports.

3.  3. Select Edit to add filter as a default.

4. In the Default Filter dropdown box, select the required filter.

Access to mobile overseas (default filter)

The default filter Access to mobile overseasenables users to identify mobile services that have either had access to international roaming or had their service restricted from accessing overseas in the last bill cycle.    It can be applied in both a summary and detail service & equipment report

How to apply filter in report

 

1.  Go to the Reports tab and access the Summary or Detail reports option. 

2.  Select report type Service & Equipment.

2.  Report will currently display all service & equipment charges relevant for that bill cycle.

Fixed Services (default filter)

This filter enables users to review any charges relevant to fixed services (LAN lines).

 

 It can be applied in the following report types:

 

  • Usage
  • Service & Equipment
  • Service level
  • Bill Overview

How to apply filter in report

 

1.  Go to Summary or Detail report tab and select the type of report you want to view.

     

     In this example, we have selected a call & usage type report.

Freecall/Priority/13 Services (default filter)

This filter enables users to review any usage charges related to Inbound Services.  It will display all inbound calls made to a 1800/1300 or 13 number.

 

It can be applied in both a summary and detail usage type report.

This filter enables users to review any usage charges related to International including; sms and calls.

 

It can be applied in both a summary and detail usage type report.

This filter enables users to review all charges related to international roaming that are GST free.

 

It can be applied in both a summary and detail usage type report.
