As an Australian customer, what do I need in order to purchase AWS and Cloud Gateway from Telstra?

Before you can purchase AWS cloud services and Cloud Gateway from Telstra, you need to have an existing Telstra IP network service.


If you don't have a Telstra IP network service, contact your Telstra representative or call 1300 835 787. We’re available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (AEST).


To purchase AWS from Telstra you must:

  • Have an Australian Business Number (ABN). Telstra bills all AWS cloud services in Australian dollars.
  • Connect your existing Microsoft® Azure Active Directory work account to our directory service. Having this link gives you access to your organisation’s Telstra cloud services (including AWS) without having to enter another username or password. If your organisation already uses Microsoft services such as Office 365 or OneDrive for Business you’ll already have an existing Azure Active Directory work account that you can use. If not, you can create one here. We’ll also step you through these details when you go to purchase AWS.
